It is my pleasure to announce that version 1.2 of our Android App has been released!
This represents an important step toward our challenging and exciting goal of building a new and safe economy. Before I tell you about all of the updates, let’s take a step back.
My name is Giovanni and I am the Android guy at Zaarly. I joined the company a month ago. Perhaps you’re wondering, “why did you start this new adventure?” The answer is simple. To me, Zaarly represents passion, talent, personality, energy, innovation, challenge and love. I feel all of this every time I walk through our office and I’m very thankful to be a part of the Zaarly Family.
Now, let’s discuss what’s new.
The Landing Page
Once you open the app, you’ll notice the new landing page. The “Ask For It” feature is one of the most exciting updates. Are you unsure of what to post on Zaarly? Would you like to surprise someone special, but aren’t sure what to get? Do you need something to get done around the house and didn’t know you could find help using Zaarly? Here we are! Through this new feature, we’re able to suggest things to look for and make recommendations for you based on your location. We want to help you get things done, we want to fulfill your life and we want to inspire you!
The Listing Detail Page
For those who’ve used the Android app, I bet you’ve asked yourself, “why can’t I delete a listing?” or “hmm, I am not getting any offers. It would be nice to have a chance to edit this listing or raise the price.” Now you can! At the bottom of the Listing Detail page you now have a bar containing a button “Edit/Delete”.
The Bugs
If your device is running the Android OS 2.1 (Eclair), you have probably come across two bugs. One of which is related to the login process. Some users were getting stuck in an indefinite state where they were logged in but the app did not recognize it. As a result, it was impossible to post a Zaarly or take any actions that required being logged in. The second bug was related to the sharing on Facebook and Twitter. Some users’ authentication page, which allows them to interact on Social platforms using Zaarly, were not prompt with the possibility of sharing. I am happy to let you know that both bugs have been fixed! All users are now able to login, log out and post or fulfill a Zaarly request at will. Moreover, you also have the chance to share your listings through Facebook, Twitter, SMS or by copying the link and pasting it into an e-mail!
You can now fully enjoy the app
